Jim Chidester, P.E.

 

 

 

 

Jim Chidester is a Project Manager for Viridian.

Jim graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with Professional Concentration in Mechanical Engineering from Arkansas State University in 1993.

His expertise is in HVAC and Plumbing systems design for commercial buildings, with special emphasis in energy-efficient design, energy studies, and energy modeling. Jim is a LEED AP, a Certified Energy Manager and a registered pro-fessional engineer in fifteen states and Washington D.C.

Jim worked in the consulting engineering business for over fourteen years for a local engineering firm, prior to opening his own firm. He owned and operated Chidester Engineering for almost three years before joining Viridian. He has also taught as a part-time Engineering Instructor at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock, in the Engineering Technology Department.

Jim is a member of ASHRAE and served for two years as the Chairman for the USGBC-Arkansas Chapter Central Branch. He is currently serving as the Vice-Chairman for the USGBC-Arkansas Chapter.
